Lake Effect Furies Rank #17!
As some of you have already heard, our league was recently inducted into an international organization called the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Now, not only do we get to see how The Lake Effect Furies measure up against other WFTDA travel teams, we get to cheer them on as they are pitted against some of the best roller derby teams in the world!
Following our first official quarter with the WFTDA, we are very proud to announce that Queen City has been ranked #17 in the WFTDA’s East Region!
For more information about current rankings and how rank is determined, please visit the WFTDA website. New rankings are released every quarter (in January, April, July and October), so keep an eye out for news of our Furies as they battle for the title of best team in 2011!
