My Mother, Sissy Fit, founded the Queen City Roller Girls in 2006. I remember being at the first ever game the QCRG hosted, I was around 8 years old. Watching my Mother play, of course I wanted in on it, too. My sister and I would ask all of the time, “When can we start playing?” Throughout the years we would research other Junior Roller Derby Leagues- We knew we had to start one of our own. So once the QCRG got WFTDA, the talk of starting our very own Junior League officially began. The Queen City Junior Roller Girls was founded in 2011 and that is when I got to officially start playing Roller Derby myself!
