QCRG, like millions of websites, uses Google Analytics on qcrg.net to learn more about our visitors (you) in order to improve our website and the web experience we provide. Google Analytics is a piece of software that grabs data about our visitors to facilitate this.
What information does Google Analytics record?
- How you got here (e.g. from social media, from a web search, etc).
- How long you stay here and which pages you visit (skater pages, ticket info, etc).
- What kind of device you’re using to browse this website.
- And quite a bit more.
What does QCRG do with your data?
The tracking information us to better understand the kind of people who come to my site and what content they’re reading. This allows us to make better decisions about what information to provide, and how to better arrange this data so it can be more easily found.
As an example of the usefulness of Google Analytics, from it we learned that nearly 50% of our visitors are visiting our site from a mobile device as opposed to a desktop computer – as such we emphasized the need for an intuitive mobile experience when redesigning our website.
We abide by the rules set out in the Google Analytics Terms of Service.
