About Wiener:
The master of meats, the sultan of sausage. This whacky wiener was conceived in the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. His parents had a bad run in with the law, they had to flea the country in a miraculous fourteen hour high speed pursuit while still in said Wienermobile. This chase ended with the amphibious vehicle making its way into Mexico after crossing the Rio Grande. Señor Wiener was born in the now dilapidated Wienermobile on a beautifully warm august night not more than 100 yards away from the gulf. While still a young child his parents went out spear fishing one day and never came back. Some say the tide pulled them out to sea never to be seen again, while others say their hotdog bait attracted a large swarm of barracudas which consumed them entirely in a matter of minutes.
Wiener did not know for sure what happened nor did he care all that much at the time. Wiener had to put all of that behind him he was on his own left to fend for himself because of this cruel twist of fate. He remembered his parents telling him about family and friends that they had left behind in Buffalo, NY because they had started their nation wide Wieners Across America tour. He remembered hearing about the beautiful summers and long frigid winters. He would remember his father’s longing for snow and blizzards to come and put a white blanket over the Wienermobile-shack that they had resided in for years. He would remember hearing how his mother would always ask for a nice lake effect blizzard instead of these dreadful hurricanes.
Señor Wiener gathered everything that remained in his place of residence and had to try to find his family that may still be around. He eventually ended up hitch hiking and train hopping his way to the Queen City. The moment Señor entered this beloved city he knew immediately it was home. Not too long after being in Buffalo he saw someone who resembled his father to a T. He showed this man a picture of his father and the man promptly asked Wiener “Where did you get this from?” and Wiener explained. This man was Wieners uncle, he took him under his wing and got Wiener a job at a local roller rink where Wiener found the love of his life…roller derby! He wanted to be involved in any way possible so he got skates, pads, a whistle and glued his baby hat on top of his helmet to pay homage to his old life while starting a brand new chapter.
