Vile Love It strapped on those metal clamp-on roller skates when she was just 5 years old and held on for dear life as she shuffled along the white picket fence by her driveway. It wasn’t too long before she was tearing up the concrete, chasing after other kids (whether or not they were on skates) and racing around the formerly quiet suburban neighborhood outside of Syracuse. And that was without protective gear. Several years later, she’s not revealing just how many, she found roller derby and finally found the home for her love of skating and that little bit of mean she’s been trying to manage all these years.
